Bugatti fans are in for a treat at Monterey Car Week, which runs August 15-21 in Monterey, California and concludes with the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

Bugatti has confirmed the appearance of both its Chiron hypercar and Vision Gran Turismo concept.

The Chiron will be present at The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering on August 19 and at the Pebble Beach Concours on August 21. The Vision Gran Turismo concept will only be at the latter.

The Chiron is due to start deliveries in the fall. Just 500 will be built and already 200 are accounted for. Like its predecessor, the Veyron, the Chiron comes with a quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W-16 but this time output has been dialed up to 1,480 horsepower.

The Vision Gran Turismo concept was developed for the Gran Turismo challenge which celebrated the 15th anniversary of the Gran Turismo video game series. It also served as a preview of the Chiron and was rolled out for the first time at the 2015 Frankfurt auto show.

The main person responsible for the design of both cars is Volkswagen Group designer Sasha Selipanov. He recently revealed his original designs for the car, which shows they could have ended up looking very different.

The appearance in Monterey  will mark the respective North American debuts for both cars. We know Bugatti has previously brought its Chiron to the United States, though, as an example was spotted in New York City in March. It was likely been shown privately to potential customers.
