Here’s your first official taste of the new season of Top Gear.

The famous trio made up of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May is no longer there but what we can gather from this short teaser trailer is that the show will still pack some awesome machinery, a few laughs and plenty of outrageous driving.

The list of cars featured in the clip include the Aston Martin Vulcan, Ariel Nomad, Dodge Viper ACR, Ferrari [NYSE:RACE] F12 Tdf, Ford Motor Company [NYSE:F] Mustang GT and the McLaren 675LT. A Reliant Robin, which was frequently made fun of on previous episodes, also appears briefly.

Right now all the BBC will say is that the new season of Top Gear, number 23 for the current format, will premiere in May.

The last we heard is that the show is likely to start in late May as opposed to the originally planned May 8 date as hinted at by new lead host Chris Evans earlier in the year.

A few delays are certainly understandable given the tough task of recreating the series without its former hosts plus additional key staff that also quit, including more than one producer. Then there was the issue of getting new hosts, of which there are six, onboard.

Meanwhile, Amazon Prime’s new show starring former hosts Clarkson, Hammond and May is also in production and has been confirmed to start in the fall of 2016.
