It’s looking like General Motors Company [NYSE:GM] has unleashed a real beast in the form of its 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS. For just $37,295, including shipping, you get a car that’s officially rated at 455 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque—though those figures might be a bit conservative—and also quite capable of handling the twisty stuff.

Now we’ve learned that the car will take to performance upgrades like a duck to water. This video from LSTuner shows an automatic-equipped Camaro SS running the quarter mile in an incredible 10.602. Of course, the car isn’t stock but the list of mods include just an ECU tune, some drag radials and a shot of nitrous. Take away the nitrous and it still manages a brisk 11.77.

Handling the modifications was B&R Performance located in Oklahoma City. Interestingly, this level of performance was achieved in just a matter of days. We look forward to seeing what kind of numbers of the Camaro SS can put down once more tuners get their hands on it.
