Since the middle of last month, we're known that Jeep's Hellcat-powered Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is go for production.

While Fiat Chrysler Automobiles [NYSE:FCAU] hasn't yet confirmed the model, the recent announcement that the company is ramping up production of its supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat engine makes us confident we'll get the official word sooner rather than later. The question is whether the new super is Jeep already testing. 

And the answer is a resounding maybe.

Yes, it's likely that development engineers are flogging them somewhere—but that's not what this video shows. Because while it's called "Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Hellcat 2015 prototype," and while the Jeep in question is loud enough to set off car alarms, there's none of the extremely loud supercharger whine we've heard on the other members of the Hellcat clan.

This beast is a Grand Cherokee SRT with a Tyrannos bodykit from Russia's Renegade. We'll have to wait a little longer to see the real thing, but it's in the mail.
