A McLaren P1 owner takes his car to the track within 36 hours of purchase, the Toyota FT-1 Vision Gran Turismo is now available to drive in-game, and Formula E starts its series off with a huge late-race wreck. It’s The Week In Reverse, right here at Motor Authority.

McLaren P1 owner Michael Benham is our kind of guy. Within 36 hours of taking delivery of his new P1, he had set off on a 500-mile drive to Spa-Francorchamps to tackle Eau Rouge and the rest of the circuit’s famous corners. This week, a video chronicling his first exposure to the car was released. You don’t want to miss it.

Trophy truck driver BJ Baldwin is back with a new video called Recoil 2, and it’s truly amazing. With some over-the-top scenarios, Baldwin shows off what a trophy truck can do in some amazing scenes shot by Hoonigan’s Brian Scotto. It’s impressive, but it’s also just fun. Check out the full video to see all of the action.

If you’re a Gran Turismo player, you’ll be glad to know that the FT-1 Vision Gran Turismo concept car is now available for download and driving in-game. As what many consider to be a preview of the upcoming revival of the Toyota Supra, the FT-1 is an exciting car for the enthusiast—so boot up those consoles and start downloading.

For the enthusiast with a historical, rather than a futuristic bent, Porsche’s museum houses some truly remarkable items. Among the collection are 50 years worth of secret concepts and prototypes—some of which led to production cars, and some that were never built. A new video series gives us a taste of the secrets Porsche has kept for the past half-century.

And finally, during the debut of the Formula E Championship in Beijing, China, a late-race crash between the Nick Heidfeld and Nicolas Prost, who were then running first and second in the race, saw Heidfeld’s electric race disintegrate after a very hard airborne impact. Heidfeld was fortunately uninjured. Based on the racing we’ve seen thus far, the fledgling Formula E series promises to be an exciting one, even compared to the much faster F1.
