If the thought of 0-60 mph in under two seconds—on dirt!—turbos spooling, rev limiters popping, and four-wheel powerslides don’t sound like fun, you’re not living right. Tanner Foust, however, surely is. This is his new Volkswagen Beetle Global Rallycross car.

The video shows all of the above and more, including a taunt at the end, with Foust and the car (ostensibly) having written out the words, “Don’t call me Herbie,” in reference to the famous Love Bug of late 1960s movie fame.

Whatever the tongue-in-cheek message, however, one thing is clear: this is a serious rallycross car, and, for the fan of going fast, wheel-to-wheel in the dirt, that’s a very good thing.
