Land Rover is looking to entice potential buyers of its Range Rover Evoque with a new Autobiography trim, which is being introduced for the stylish compact crossover’s 2015 model year update. The Autobiography trim is typically applied to Land Rover’s most luxurious models and comes with adornments for both the vehicle exteriors and interiors.

For the 2015 Range Rover Evoque, the Autobiography trim comes in regular form as well as power-boosting Dynamic. Both feature enhanced body styling, 20-inch forged alloy wheels and premium leather interior details.

The regular Autobiography trim features the Range Rover Evoque’s standard 240-horsepower engine, while the Autobiography Dynamic trim gets a 285-horsepower version. The latter also benefits from a chassis that’s been optimized for sharper handling, larger brakes and a more responsive transmission.

Note, all Range Rover Evoques now come standard with a nine-speed ZF automatic transmission, which was introduced for 2014. All Range Rover Evoques also come with Land Rover’s active all-wheel-drive system and brake-based torque vectoring at all four corners.

Pricing hasn’t been revealed but it won’t be cheap since the Autobiography trim sits above the existing Pure, Dynamic and Prestige derivatives.

In addition to the new Autobiography trim, the 2015 Range Rover Evoque also debuts Land Rover’s new InControl apps system, which enables popular smartphone apps to be displayed and controlled from the vehicle’s touchscreen. The system is designed for the latest Apple and Android based smartphones and simply requires the driver to connect the phone to a dedicated USB port.

We’ll get our first look at the 2015 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque range at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, which gets underway March 4. For more from the show, head to our dedicated hub.
