BMW’s next-generation X1 compact SUV has been spotted. This time around the vehicle will be based on a front-wheel-drive platform shared with several MINIs and other front-wheel-drive BMWs. Expect all-wheel-drive to remain an option, however.

Porsche is gearing up for the reveal of its new Macan crossover at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show next month. Today we have some new teaser images which were posted up on an official microsite launched for the vehicle.

Patent drawings of what’s believed to be Ferrari’s replacement for the California have hit the web. Though we can’t be sure the drawings are official, they do match up with previous spy shots of test mules for the California replacement.

You'll find all of this and more in today's car news headlines from around the High Gear Media network, right here at Motor Authority.
