Growing up in California can numb you to some of the beautiful vistas and otherworldly landscapes, as well as the cultural and historic significance of many of its landmarks. But those same things seen through the eyes of a Brit on a road trip can make them all fresh again.
It's easy to get mired in the day-to-day: unrelenting traffic, smog, ugly subdivisions crowding out the hills--the grind.
This video, shot during a week-long road trip along the Pacific Coast Highway from San Francisco to Los Angeles, captures just a sampling of the beauty and excellence that is California, in a fresh, un-ironic way that will make those of us who've left California yearn for a trip back home--and, perhaps, make those that still live there open their eyes to what they're missing every day.
