Lamborghini is sending out its Gallardo in style, launching today at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show the final Gallardo variant, the hardcore Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse
. As its name suggests, the car has been developed by Lamborghini’s new racing department Squadra Corse and features many of the same components used on the Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo race car.
One of those components is a 562-horsepower 5.2-liter V-10, which in the Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse helps rocket the car to 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 199 mph.
Sadly, only 50 examples are being built in total, and only 15 of these will reach North America, priced from $259,100
a piece. The good news is that after the Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse comes the replacement for the Gallardo, the recently spied Cabrera
(name not confirmed).
