The 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray
might seem like a familiar creature already, even though it hasn't quite begun to hit the street in retail form. But how well do we really know it?
Upon release, Chevy claimed the 2014 Corvette would offer an estimated 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. It appears that was a moderately conservative estimate, as PDF files that appear to show the final figures, via the Corvette7
forum, reveal the coupe will pack 455 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
The Corvette Stingray Convertible is also shown in a document at Corvette7
, but it still has the estimated 450/450 figures. It's likely that the engine will be rated the same in both Coupe and Convertible forms of the Stingray, however.
