While the Hyundai Equus luxury sedan has only been on the market a few years here in the U.S., the Korean automaker is already giving its flagship sedan a mild refresh. For 2014 the Equus boasts new technology, an updated design, and an even more luxurious interior.

In the luxury segment it's all about the technology, and for 2014 the Equus features a completely digital gauge cluster and an updated infotainment interface. The center stack has been reconfigured with nicer looking materials, and in back of the Ultimate model there's a new rear entertainment system.

The Equus also features a host of newly available active-safety technology including a Blind-Spot Detection system, smart cruise control, lane departure warning, and a Rear Cross-Traffic Alert system. There's also a new head-up display and multi-view camera system on the Ultimate model.

Under the hood you'll still find a 429-horsepower 5.0-liter V-8 engine connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Power is sent to the rear wheels and there's a new snow mode to help those who live in the snowbelt states.

The new Equus will be hitting dealerships later this year and pricing will be announced at that point.
