For 2014 (the last year of the Mustang’s current design), Roush is offering everything from its appearance-package Roush RS V6 Mustang through its Roush Stage 3 Mustang with the optional Phase 3 package, which boasts an output of 675 horsepower.
There are plenty of options in-between, too, including the 5.0-liter V-8-engined Roush Stage 1 Mustang, which gets an aero body kit, a choice of wheels and interior upgrades. If you want better handling, the Roush Stage 2 Mustang takes the Stage 1 car and adds a “racetrack-inspired” suspension.
Those seeking additional performance will want to shop the Roush Stage 3 Mustang, which adds a supercharger to boost output to 575 horsepower and 505 pound-feet of torque. Still not enough? Roush has worked with Ford Racing to introduce a new “Aluminator” forged engine option for Stage 3 Mustangs.
The Phase 2 package gives buyers an Aluminator V-8 good for 625 horsepower, while the Phase 3 package boosts engine output to 675 horsepower. Both packages are available through the Roush Performance catalog, so it’s likely they can be stuffed under the hood of any 2011 and later 5.0-liter Mustang.
Roush products are sold through authorized Ford dealers, and Roush Stage 3 Mustangs offer a 3 year, 36,000 mile powertrain warranty. For information on dealers and availability, head on over to the Roush Performance website.
