A dramatic crash took place at Northwest Regional Airport in Roanoke, Texas over the weekend, involving a plane crashing into a moving car while it was attempting to land.

The video below, which was filmed by Kandy Davis and posted on WFAA, shows a single-engine Cessna coming into land and then clipping the top of car, a Volvo XC90 SUV, and subsequently crashing into the ground.

Davis’ husband, student pilot William Davis, was at the controls of the Cessna at the time of the crash. He was unharmed, though the driver of the Volvo, Frank Laudo, wasn’t so lucky. He received some cuts and scrapes that required a few skull staples due to the plane’s landing gear crashing into the driver’s compartment and hitting him.

Laudo is an aviation fan and visits the airport regularly. The road he was driving on at the time of the crash runs through the airport and is accessible by the public.

The Federal Aviation Administration is currently investigating the matter.
