It’s that time of year again: Luxury retailer Neiman Marcus has released its annual Christmas Book and once again there’s an automotive section. This year McLaren’s new MP4-12C Spider has been picked as the automotive “ultimate fantasy gift,” and only 12 of the beauties will be offered through the catalog.

Pricing for the 12C Spider Neiman Marcus Edition doesn’t come cheap, with the official price coming in at a cool $354,000. That may be roughly $85k more than the standard 12C Spider, though the many options and extras available with the Neiman Marcus Edition could be considered well worth the extra dosh.

The 12C Spider Neiman Marcus Edition is finished in Volcano Red and comes with lightweight diamond-cut wheels with gloss black highlights. Inside, there’s more of the glossy black trim, along with contrasting red stitching on the leather surfaces, a numbered plaque, custom luggage set, and a pair of business-class airfare tickets to London and two nights at the Coworth Park Hotel to meet with none other than McLaren chairman Ron Dennis.

The purchase also gets you a visit inside the McLaren Technology Center and production line where the 12C supercars are built.

If you’re interested, you had better act fast. Past Neiman Marcus cars have literally sold out within minutes. Last year’s 10 Ferrari FFs sold out in 50 minutes, while it only took 3 minutes for all 100 Neiman Marcus Camaro Convertibles to sell out in 2010.

The latest 12C Spider Neiman Marcus Edition goes on sale at noon EDT on October 24. Interested buyers can contact 1-888-756-0775 for more details. Note, the McLaren isn’t even the most expensive gift in this year’s catalog. That title goes to His & Hers Van Cleef & Arpels ‘Poetic Wish’ watches, which are priced at $1,090,000.

Coming into the 2013 model year, the 12C Spider is the convertible version of the equally-stunning 12C supercar launched last year. The peak output from its twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V-8 is a healthy 616 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque, which is all the more impressive when you consider the powertrain escapes a gas guzzler tax.

The vehicle weighs in at just 3,200 pounds with all fluids, and is able to accelerate from 0-60 in just 3.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 204 mph (196 mph with the top down). The roof system is a retractable hard top, which operates at speeds of up to 19 mph and takes just 17 seconds to move into place.
