Here's a video that exemplifies the old saying, “it pays to be patient.”

A driver in a white sedan executes a left turn at a busy intersection, not realizing that a tram was approaching in the same direction, on his left.

As this video footage reveals, just as the white sedan is crossing the tram tracks, the two vehicles come into contact, with the tram T-boning the car and proceeding for several more feet before coming to a stop.

It’s unclear if the driver of the car was executing an illegal turn, or whether the necessary precautions to prevent such a crash simply weren’t there.

The good news is that it appears no one was seriously injured, though it sure would be painful to have to wait for a tow-truck with all the angry passengers of the tram, made late because of your carelessness, surrounding you.
