The drop-top version of the Lamborghini Aventador could use a targa-style removable roof section rather than a full soft or hard retractable roof. Sounds good to us.

The 2013 Cadillac ATS has been priced from $33,990, though the model many will want--the turbo 2.0-liter with a manual transmission--will start from $35,795, and the range-topping V-6 model with CUE infotainment, leather upholstery, and other upgrades will start from $42,090. Will it be competitive? The pricing seems about right, but we'll have to wait until we've driven it to know for sure.

And the 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 takes all 662 of its horsepower to the Nordschleife and lets loose, on our spy photographer's video.

You'll find all of these stories and much more in the day's car news headlines below.
