We’re still a full day out from the 2012 New York Auto Show but already many of the event’s highlights have made their presence known.

The major news out overnight was the separate reveals of the 2013 BMW X1, 2013 Lincoln MKZ, 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL Class and 2013 Porsche Cayenne, the latter coming with a new diesel option for the first time in the U.S.

However, there’s plenty more going on in the lead up to the New York Auto Show, including the reveal of the New York Taxi of Tomorrow, which it turns out will be the Nissan NV200.
