Audi's mid-engined wundercar, the R8, is five years old--soon to be six. Six models have been built, and soon, the facelifted, updated 2013 model will be on the scene. This video gives us a tiny taste of what to expect--and a look back on what's already been.

While the whole 90-second run of the video is worth watch, you'll want to skip to the 1:22-onward section for a glimpse of the new model coming later this year. As you'd expect of a refresh, it's not significantly different--though the headlights may be getting a bit of a tweak, and we'd expect some new colors, interior options, and some new wheels as well.
