Pull up to a set of lights and you see a matching pair of Chevrolet Corvettes, one a current-generation C6 and the other a previous-gen C5, and you can bet the drivers of the respective cars will have a score to settle.

And that’s exactly what unfolds in this video taken by another motorist during Thanksgiving weekend.

Of course, driving high-performance vehicles in such a manner as the drivers of the two Corvettes do in this video can--and often will--result in unexpected outcomes as you’ll soon see.

We won’t spoil it for you by telling you how the crash goes down, but we will stress that participating in street racing, even in conditions that may appear safe, is never a good decision. In this case, the number of surrounding vehicles, people on bikes, and even nearby pedestrians makes the decision downright stupid.

Police are still investigating the matter and could be pressing charges for illegal street racing now that a video of the crash has gone viral on the Internet, according to the guys at Autoblog. Oddly enough, this is the second time this year that a video has turned up showing two Corvettes crashing on a public road when one of the drivers lose control.
