2011 Nissan 370Z Coupe

Nissan has issued a recall on its 2011 Nissan 370Z sports car and 2011 and 2012 Infiniti G37 coupes due to a potential hazard concerning the cars’ power windows. The affected vehicles are those built between July 2 through August 29, 2011, of which there are some 1,788 vehicles in the U.S. alone.

Due to a programming error, the power window switch controller in some vehicles was manufactured out of specification. The consequence is that while the windows will continue to operate, should a part of someone’s body become trapped by the window when the automatic closing button is triggered, they may receive a pinch injury.

Clearly the issue is not a serious one, so owners of the affected vehicles should not be alarmed. Nissan, however, recommends you to take your vehicle to the nearest dealer, which will replace the defective power window switch controller free of charge.
