We have the first details and images of a Ferrari 458 Italia that suffered a violent crash yesterday in the Scottish capital of Edinburgh.

The crash took place on Edinburgh’s Queensferry Road in front of a school where the speed limit is just 30 mph. However, onlookers claim the driver of the Ferrari was traveling at speeds nearly triple the limit when he came into contact with a passing SUV.

The image of the wreckage shows that the crash must have happened at quite some speed as the airbags have been deployed and the damage is rather severe.

The owner of the car is believed to be local businessman, and interestingly, he was caught on film driving around town prior to the crash.

Thanks L for sending in the tip!
