2012 Honda Civic Si with HFP package

The latest iteration of the Honda Civic Si has underwhelmed critics, including our own reviewers at TheCarConnection, but Honda isn't letting the lukewarm reception get in the way of heating things up a bit. Today at the 2011 SEMA show, the company unveiled the Honda Factory Peformance (HFP) package.

The HFP package includes stiffer lowering springs, higher-performance dampers, 18x7-inch wheels, a full body kit, HFP floor mats, red ambient lighting, and HFP badges. The package will be available through dealers in all seven standard Civic Si colors.

Only 500 kits will be offered, however, and the order books opened today, so if you're in possession of a 2012 Civic Si or had been thinking about ordering one, you might want to throw in the HFP package right now--or it'll be too late.

  1. i believe Honda is starting to believe their own hype. They think that just because they have well received base cars and a reliance on past glory cars that everyone loved like the CRX, Type R's, S2000, NSX they can just offer a body kit and non mechanical mods to make people think they are getting a hot version of the original? i love Hondas but for the premium that you have to pay for lacklustre 4 cyl cars (those that arent the free spinning V-Tech engines)its just no longer worth it
