2013 Porsche 911 Turbo spy shots
The new
2012 Porsche 911 has been very well received but the model we’re sure most of you are interested in, the
hardcore 911 Turbo, is still being honed at test tracks all around the world, including the notorious Nurburgring-Nordschleife in Germany.
Due next year, most likely with a debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show next March, the ‘991’ series 911 Turbo will still sport a twin-turbocharged flat-six engine driving all four wheels but should be better than ever thanks to a host of new features.
Some of these will include more active aerodynamics, seven-speed manual or latest-generation PDK dual clutch transmissions, and of course, more power and torque.
Expect output to better the 530 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque of the
outgoing 911 Turbo S, perhaps even reaching as high as 550 horsepower to really give it the lead over its
Nissan GT-R nemesis.

As confirmed by the video, both a coupe and convertible, or ‘cabriolet’ in Porsche-speak, will once again be launched. Look out for the car in showrooms late next summer as a 2013 model.
