Most readers won’t be very familiar with the Ginetta name but that may change in the near future.
Ginetta is a British sports car and engineering firm specializing in kit cars and dedicated track cars
In March of last year
it acquired fellow British sports car manufacturer Farbio, which at the time was on the verge of launching a new mid-engine model
dubbed the GTS.
Since then Ginetta has launched a new
track car called the G55 and renamed the GTS the F400.
Fast forward to today and Ginetta has announced plans for a new sports car, a teaser of which is pictured above.
Believed to be a revised version of the F400, the only information Ginetta has released on its new sports car is that it will be a full carbon fiber bodied vehicle weighing less than 2,425 pounds and developing upwards of 310 horsepower from a 3.7-liter engine.
Its expected pricetag will be £68,000 (approximately$106,403) and the promised performance is 0-60 mph acceleration of around 4.0 seconds and a top speed in excess of 165 mph.
More information is expected to come next week so stay tuned for an update.
