AC Schnitzer's 400-HP 2011 BMW 1-Series M Coupe

Follow Nelson

The BMW 1-Series M Coupe is a very well-balanced and downright quick car in its own right, fresh off the factory floor. But it's also a great platform for improvement and modification, and we're looking forward to seeing what the aftermarket, especially the crafty independents, will do with it. AC Schnitzer's take, on the other hand, is less what we'd like to see.

Sure, it boosts output by 60 hp to 400 total. But otherwise it's sort of a train wreck of bling and needless frippery. High-quality bling and frippery, to be sure, but still...not our cup of spiked tea.

Catch the full details on the car, including its brake and wheel upgrades, interior tweaks, and more, at the official site once you've oriented yourself with its basic look with the gallery below.

  1. age old statement. just because you can doesnt mean you should. Saw and 1M yesterday in black and it looksed beautiful and taught. Kind of what the M3 used to be. too small for my liking but still a striking little car that can take on most cars on the road
