Mercedes-Benz is working on a brand new generation of its SL-Class luxury convertible, and once again there will be high-performance AMG variants, the future V-8 powered SL63 AMG captured here in our exclusive spy video.

That sound emanating from beneath the hood is a variant of the 'M157' 5.5-liter twin-turbo AMG V-8 cranking out an expected 571 horsepower.

That may not seem much higher than the outgoing model’s 525 horsepower, but its expected peak torque of around 650 pound-feet is certainly higher than the previous model’s 465.

Look out for the car’s auto show debut towards the end of the year, but for now enjoy the video.
