If you haven't been following the AMG Driving Academy Performance Series with Tommy Kendall since we brought you the first episode, you should have been. This is an example of why: TK and and AMG driving instructor Nick Kunewalder walk you through some of the basic how-tos of drifting.

From initiation to transitions to the mechanics of what the car is doing, this brief video does a surprisingly good job of explaining what's going on in a drift.


It also contains some nice blooper footage of what can go wrong, including an SLS AMG mowing the lawn while trailing an Al-Gore-disgruntling cloud of tire smoke. Enjoy.
