Formula 1 legend and Lotus driver Nigel Mansell helped christen the newly restored test track at Group Lotus' Hethel, U.K. headquarters today. His 1981 Essex-Lotus 81B F1 car was on hand for the first laps, as were a handful of other Lotus race cars.

Race cars like the current F1 Lotus-Renault car, several Evora GT race cars, the 1980 Type 88 twin-chassis car, and the Type 125 Exos Experience car (piloted by Jean Alesi).

While the re-launch of Lotus' official test track is good for the company, especially with a brace of new models on the way, it's the photo gallery from the event that caught our attention. Perhaps it will catch yours as well.
