Edwin Liu puts on countersteering show in ProSolo competition.

If you've never heard of SCCA ProSolo competition, you're not alone--but you're missing out. Like autocross, ProSolo is open to anyone with a valid driver's license, an SCCA membership, and a safe, functional car.

Shot this past weekend at the ProSolo event in Blytheville, Arkansas, this video shows Edwin Liu at the wheel of a Formula 125 shifter kart. Liu didn't have the weekend he'd hoped for, coming in well behind his competition--but fortunately for us, it makes for some great video, and a lesson in short-wheelbase countersteer.

Pay attention to the steering angle and the direction of the car. You'll notice that only in a few instances are the front tires actually pointing in the direction of travel, a feat made all the more difficult given the wide track and short wheelbase of an F125 shifter kart.
