2012 Volkswagen Beetle Walkaround: Video

We hope you like the new 2012 Volkswagen Beetle as much as we do because we have a new video of the car featuring our own editor Marty Padgett conducting a quick walkaround at recent 2011 New York Auto Show.

Sharper handling, refined styling and a much more premium interior are the main improvements implemented in the new Beetle, though there’s also a healthy dose of testosterone added to lure more male buyers this time ‘round. Yes, you can say goodbye to the flower bud vase of the previous model.

  1. Why does every car company suddenly feel like they need to put LEDs in their headlights? Audi was one of the few who started doing it a couple of years ago. Now those cars could pull off the LEDs. Suddenly almost every car company feels like they need to put LEDs in their headlights. It has lost its uniqueness.

  3. Ugh... I know Audi is a volkswagen. That doesn't mean Volkswagen needs to do everything that Audi does. And I'm not just talking about VW. The new Taurus SHO has LEDs, the Chrysler 200 has them, one of the Ford Focus models has them, Porsche started doing it, Mercedes started doing it. At least BMW went with the halo circles in their cars.
