Suzuki is struggling in the U.S. to simply get consideration from vehicle shoppers. Once it gets that, with vehicles like the excellent 2011 Suzuki Kizashi and 2011 Suzuki SX4—and, perhaps the long-awaited Swift hot hatch—it's bound to find traction in the market.

And here at the New York auto show, to help bring Suzuki a little more attention, the brand has taken what it's better-known for—motorcycles, ATVs, and motorsports—and brought that look and feel to its Kizashi Apex Concept.

Packaging the turbocharged engine that the brand has teased for some time, along with "burnt asphalt" finish alloy wheels, Yokohama S Drive tires, and Euro-spec HID headlamps, along with Laser Blue Alcantara trim and black leather upholstery, the Apex Concept makes a statement. But it's a fully track-ready package, with upgraded cooling systems, an air-to-liquid intercooler, and a Garrett/Honeywell turbo, bringing the engine output potentially up to 300 hp.
