All we can say is, we feel your pain.
A motoring journalist for CAR Online, videotaping himself driving the just-launched 2012 Ferrari FF four-wheel-drive shooting brake on a limited-invitation press event, manages to ... ummm ... drive over a curb.
Or as he might say, "kerb."
His reaction is completely predictable, and largely unprintable.
Watch the video below.
But, frankly, we can only sympathize. At far lower speeds, on equally narrow roads, we managed to scrape the wheel of a 2011 Bentley Mulsanne against a granite curb in a very small Scottish town during our test drive.
Bentley being British, the reaction was considerably more gracious than we suspect the Italians' may be.

car graphic (japanese magazine more known for arrogant staff) recently totalled a gallardo and was severely criticised for trying to hide the whole incident.

As for journo's crashing cars or treating them as rentals, that happens all the time. I remember Road and Track did a track test in the 90's of the Jaguars XJR which resulted in them having to reshoot the story as the second car supplied to them was a different color than the one they stuffed into the tire wall at Lime Rock.
