Due to arrive at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, the facelifted 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan appears to have been leaked--briefly--this morning via the carmaker's German site. The image was quickly grabbed, and is rapidly spreading around the Web.

The image shows what appears to be LED daytime running lights around the perimeter of the headlights, a redesigned front fascia brough more in line with the new Touareg, new fog lights, twin double-bar grille in place of the current two-bar unit, and...not much else different. The sides, hood, and roofline appear to be identical to the current Tiguan. There is no shot of the rear yet, but we'd expect LEDs out back as well.

Powertrains, too, are likely to be identical, as this is just a mid-cycle refresh. That means we Americans will keep the 2.0-liter TSI engine rated at 200 horsepower with standard front-wheel drive with optional 4MOTION all-wheel-drive.

Trim levels, options, and features may see minor tweaks, as could pricing, but we won't know for sure until the revised crossover makes its debut next month.
