Aveo begets Sonic as Sebring begets 200. Trashing old, tarnished names and replacing them with new labels for fresher (or completely different) vehicles is nothing new. It's just popular this season.

The 2011 Chrysler 200 does its best to step out of the shadow of the Playskool-inspired Sebring, and these live images show it acquits itself fairly well, despite bearing a definite resemblance to its predecessor. Whether it can overcome the visual reminder to rise above its upbringing and reach buyers, particularly those from other brands, will be the test that proves or breaks the 200, however.
