One of the clearest indications yet that
Audi wants to make its impact on the U.S. market was revealed today, with the German automaker announcing plans to participate in this year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas. The annual aftermarket tradeshow draws industry folk from all across the country and this year they will get a taste of the R8
Spyder in modified form, as well as the Autonomous
Audi TTS Pikes Peak and four other as yet unnamed models.
The R8 Spyder will be the range-topping 5.2-liter FSI V-10 version and thanks to a custom supercharger kit installed by the guys at STaSIS Engineering the special convertible will be churning out around 710 horsepower.
Also on show will be the Autonomous Audi TTS Pikes Peak nicknamed Shelley--which you can read about in more detail by clicking
here--as well as four other modified models from the automaker’s lineup.
The 2010 SEMA show kicks off on November 2.
