Just 30 2011 BMW Frozen Gray M3 Coupes went on sale by phone order at 11:30 a.m. Eastern today, and it only took 12 minutes to sell them all. The special-edition car was made to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the M3, featuring a range of special appearance features in addition to the unique Frozen Gray paint job.

The car itself is mechanically the same E92 M3 that's been on sale since 2008, with a 414-horsepower 4.0-liter V-8 engine, though all Frozen Gray Coupes were available only with the M DCT dual-clutch gearbox instead of the manual transmission. All also featured the competition package, including electronic damping control, 19-inch wheels, lower springs, and sport-tuned stability and dynamics controls.

  1. I agree with Denzel Gaines. your BMW M3 will keep your garage for original will become classic collection will attend to Auto Show event future. I know BMW M and Mercedes Benz AMG are real muscle cars with Supercharger more than 400 horsepower, 200 mph and V8 since 1960's and 1970's American muscle cars about I know high performance BMW and Mercedes Benz are real enemy study to American muscle cars. I know BMW and Mercedes dont tell to Audi and Porsche.

  2. This is unbeleivable, but it goes to show the impact the M3 had on the motoring world all those years ago.

  3. Looks like matt paint is the in-thing at the moment. Amazing how quickly this M3 sold out, but then the matt black Focus RS500 did exactly the same thing.
