You have probably never heard of the Dartz Prombron SUV until now, and I don’t blame you because I was the same. Another thing you may never have heard of is the company, Dartz. Dartz create armored vehicles, like this one, for uber rich men and women. There is definitely no other car on the market, which would give you the same sense of security as this car would. Just imagine if you will, a heavily armored Hummer H1 on steroids.
Wherever you take this car you would get dozens people staring in awe and amazement and the sheer size and sheer presence of this car. If you can call it a car! A road-going armored ‘military’ vehicle sounds much more appropriate.
Under the hood of this beast is a whopping 8.1-liter V-8 engine producing 400 horsepower and 626 pound-feet of torque. Yes 8.1 liters of fury--that is almost as big as the massive 8.4-liter engine in the Dodge Viper, and bigger than the 8.0-liter engine in the Bugatti Veyron. Sure, sheer engine capacity is not all that much to boast about, but it would sure make a nice conversation down at the local pub.
There are two models available, being the pickup version and a hardtop version. There are various engines to choose from, such as the 8.1-liter V-8 mentioned earlier, a Vortec 6.0-liter V-8 producing 360 horsepower and a 6.6-liter V-8 diesel engine with up to 360 horsepower and 722 pound-feet of torque at only 1,800rpm. All of these engines are good to propel the Dartz to 111 mph. Sure that may not seem fast, but when you consider the weight, it seems fast enough. All 7,826 pounds of it, and as much as 10,031 pounds depending on the amount of protection and model chosen by the owner!
Speaking of protection, Dartz offers three different levels of protection. These being B2, B6+, B7+. All of these levels of security will protect the occupants from common pistol attacks and it can even withstand an onslaught from an AK-47. The doors are steel plated with the windows being a whooping three inches thick, enough to withstand rocket grenades. It also has bulletproof and all-terrain tires.
To accompany the car’s protection you may expect the interior to be of Rolls-Royce standard. You would be wrong. It is still a nice interior full of leather with heaps of options available. There are airbags for the passenger, central locking, climate control, custom made dashboard featuring an eight inch screen and eight-way power seats to help keep all passengers comfortable. However, saying this, you would much prefer to be sitting in the interior of a Range Rover.
If you want to feel secure when you are driving, you cannot beat the Dartz Prombron Wagon.
