Cadillac has worked hard to move its image from your grandparents' car to sophisticated luxury cars that compete with global brands like Mercedes-Benz. And one of their big markets is China.

How to introduce your sedans to a new audience that thinks Buick is a prestige brand?

Well, you could try a few stunts on the Shanghai Formula One circuit, including a new lowest lap time for a production sedan set by a 2009 Cadillac CTS-V by race driver John Heinricy.

Don't try this at home, kids.
