Completely frickin' insane. That's pretty much the only way to describe the Pagani Zonda R and the minds behind its creation. As the purebred racer of the Zonda fold, the sculpted carbon fiber ludicrousity of its street counterparts melts away into pure sound and function on the track. And this video captures its essence.

Watch for the green button at about 1:36 for the start of the auditory manna, as the Zonda R's maniacal Mercedes engine kicks over and begins its banshee wail around a rain-soaked track. But don't skip the first minute-and-a-half, either, as there are some exquisite shots of the car denuded of its shell, as well.

    the car is very nice. but the whole commercial is very chessy. why do they have to make it like a hollywood movie's trailer?

    I have to agree, the smoke signal start was a little too Top Gun. I am half expecting Tom Cruise to pop out with Danger Zone playing in the back ground!

    Simply stunning and the next time I'm in Home Depot and see a can of white paint I'll know the reason they sell it is for folks like pop and Chen Lee...
