Heffner Performance Twin Turbo Lamborghini Murcielago

Heffner Performance Twin Turbo Lamborghini Murcielago

The 571 horsepower Lamborghini Murcielago is a very, very fast car. So fast that most people - even most enthusiasts - will never drive a car that rivals it. But for a privileged few, Heffner Performance has a twin-turbo kit that will boost its power to 1,100 horsepower - at the wheels.

According to the dyno chart, it's actually hit 1,114 horsepower, to be exact. For those afraid of maths, that's about 1,300 horsepower at the crank, assuming the standard 15% drivetrain loss. Or, in comparative terms, about 227% of the standard Murcielago's power.

Yes, it's insane.

All of that power comes with just 1 bar (about 15 pounds per square inch) of boost. Heffner is still playing with boost levels, hinting that even more power could be lying untapped in the tweaked Lambo.

For comparison in performance terms, the Heffner team ran a slightly detuned 950-wheel-horsepower version from 60-130 mph in 5.1 seconds, shaving 4.4 seconds off the stock car's time. Heffner is confident they can get the car into the 4.xx range once it's turned up to full boost.

The kit, which you can see in the gallery and video below, is available now. Contact Heffner for pricing and further details.
