In honor of the 7-series' 31st anniversary only 31 Neiman Marcus cars will be offered
Enlarge PhotoChristmas will come early for Neiman Marcus’ customers, with the
all-new 2009 BMW 7-series saloon soon to be available for sale in the retailer’s annual end of year catalogue. The new
7-series isn’t scheduled to go on sale in the United States until early next year but 31 lucky customers will be able to order the car from the 16th of this month.
The limited edition model has been upgraded by BMW’s in-house customizer,
BMW Individual, and commemorates the 31st anniversary of the flagship saloon. The particular model is based on the range-topping 750Li and each customer will be offered a European driving experience as part of the Neiman Marcus ‘Fantasy Package’.
This package includes a visit to the
BMW Welt in Munich to take delivery of the car in April and then a drive through the South of France along the French
Riviera. Upon completion of the trip, the purchaser's new vehicle will be shipped back to the U.S. for immediate delivery.
Each of the cars come with a unique ‘Diopside Black’ paint scheme, BMW Individual ‘Champagne Merino’ leather trim, piano black interior highlights, and BMW Individual branding. The mechanical package remains unchanged, with power coming from the 750Li’s standard 400hp (298kW) 4.4L twin-turbo V8.
The price of the package is $160,000, and if
past special edition Neiman Marcus models are anything to go by the car is likely to sell out within minutes.
