The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class is without doubt one of the most handsome cars on the market but with a few subtle mods the svelte roadster can be made much more appealing. The latest styling kit from German tuner Lorinser proves this proposition, with little more than a complete bodykit for the facelifted SL range and a custom wheel and tire package.

New pieces include an aggressive front bumper with three oversized intakes, custom vents located behinds the wheel arches, a set of side sills and new rear bumper with an integrated diffuser. Also up back are a custom quad-exhaust system and a small bootlid spoiler. The final addition is Lorinser’s trademark RS 9 forged alloy wheels.

All additions are available in high-quality carbon, including the unique front apron designed to reduce lift on the front axle and allow for improved cooling of the engine.

Inside, Lorinser offers an F1-style steering wheel with carbon gearshift paddles, additional instruments and extra carbon trim.

As for mechanical upgrades, Lorinser insists that its engineers are still working on the car and plans to release even more upgrades further down the track. Some of the minor modifications planned include an ECU retune and the addition of high flow exhaust system.
