New 911 Turbo beats most supercars in 0-100kph-0 test

Carerra GT owners: above is the only view you’ll be getting of the new Porsche 911 Turbo as it leaves you trailing in its dust. Germany’s Autobild magazine has put together a comprehensive list of the acceleration and braking numbers for 100 of the hottest performance cars, with first place honors went to the 911 Turbo. Incredibly, it beats some pretty high-end cars including Porsche’s own Carrera GT supercar, Mercedes’ SLR and the Ferrari F430.

The 911 Turbo isn’t exactly the fastest car around. A previous comparo saw the Ultima GTR come out on top with the Bugatti Veyron a close second.

The top 10 cars in Autobild’s test were:

2 - Porsche Carrera GT

3 - Lamborghini Gallardo

4 - Mercedes SLR McLaren

5 - Ferrari F430 F1

6 - Mercedes CLK DTM AMG

7 - Lamborghini Murcielago

8 - Porsche 911 GT2 (996)

9 - Porsche 911 GT3 (996)

10 - Corvette Z06
