Monaco’s Venturi Automobiles has displayed the latest version of its Venturi Fetish electric car at the Paris Motor Show. Hot on the heels of the fast-selling Tesla vehicle, Venturi is promoting the benefits of its own electric roadster. Its 31 batteries provides the electric motor with a peak power of 180kW and constant torque of 220Nm. This is enough to launch the car from rest to 100km/h in under 5 seconds to a top speed of 160km/h.

The Fetish can seat only two and measures only 3.89m long. This would explain its lithe weight of only 980kg. A single charge will cover at most 250km. However, this reduces dramatically to 160km when driven hard. The built-in charger, which can be plugged in from home takes only 3-4 hours to top up the batteries.
