This could be the face of new Volkswagen hatch positioned below the already small Polo and imported from China. Unlikely to ever be sold in the US, there is a strong chance that the car could be sold in Europe priced at just €6500. It’s been reported that VW Europe will likely stop importing its Fox mini-hatch from Brazil, and was considering producing a new low budget car under the SEAT or Skoda labels. It seems now the company might start importing from China instead.

Autobild shows a new styling direction for VW, which features a hexagonal grille shape and sharper headlights as seen on the recent Iroc concept. Any new car from China would seriously undercut VW’s rivals on cost, but the company would still have to address issues of safety regarding its Chinese built cars.
