British automotive journalist Chris Harris recently started his own video channel on YouTube, aptly named Chris Harris On Cars, and one of his first videos is this epic review of the Ferrari LaFerrari. He gives us a good impression of the new Ferrari flagship on some of Maranello’s surrounding roads, and then he proceeds straight to the Fiorano test track for some proper high-speed action.

Harris is one of the few fortunate enough to have driven the three hybrid supercars that include the LaFerrari as well as McLaren’s P1 and the Porsche 918 Spyder. All he gives away is that the LaFerrari and P1 are a league above the 918, and that the LaFerrari’s engine is much more fun than the unit in the P1.

In case you’ve forgotten, the LaFerrari will sprint to 60 mph from rest in under 3.0 seconds and reach a top speed in excess of 217 mph. Its power comes from a hybrid drivetrain that pairs a V-12 engine with Ferrari’s own HY-KERS hybrid setup designed to boost output and lower emissions. Peak output is a staggering 950 horsepower and “more than” 664 pound-feet of torque, in a package that weighs just 1,414 kilograms (3,117 pounds) with all fluids onboard.

Now, bring on the even more potent LaFerrari XX.
