The Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) has named Honda as the "Greenest Automaker" in the North American market, a title it has held now for four years straight. The UCS findings were based on the levels of carbon emissions of Honda’s fleet average, and the final figures found Honda to have the lowest levels amongst all car companies.

"Honda remains the greenest U.S. automaker. The company installs clean technology across its entire fleet of cars and trucks and that consistency makes it a top environmental performer," the UCS said.

Honda American Vice President acknowledged the honor and released the statement, "we are proud to be recognized as a leader, and will continue to challenge ourselves to improve the environmental performance of our company and our products," soon after.
