Preview: 2008 Ford Ka
Ford is planning to release the next-generation model of its Ka minicar one year after the launch of the
Fiat 500, with which it shares the same platform.
As previewed in these renderings, the new Ka keeps the curvy shape of the current model but gets new rounded headlights that taper back along the bonnet lines. A new front bumper with integrated fog lights and a pronounced grille give the car an aggressive stance, as do the wheel at each corner design and the short overhangs.
Production for the Ka is scheduled to start at the Tychy plant in Poland late next year alongside Fiat’s new 500. Both will share the platform used in Fiat’s five-door Panda, but will feature a new range of engines including a high-performance 1.4L unit with a possible 150hp version reserved for a sports version.

1. How are car designers managing to make cars uglier than the previous generation? This Ka is hideous where the previous one was cute. Don't get me started on the BMW 7 series.
2. How does upper management at those companies give the green light to put these monstrosities out on the street?
Maybe there's hope. After the *what the hell were we thinking* 996 Porsche redeemed itself with the 997. And now the Chrysler management is admitting that their new Sebring and Nitro are ugly pieces of crap. Noticed it after the fact but still...

the vauxhall corsa was a cute little car, and then they bought out the high back version - very boxy - and have now found a medium in the corsa VXR.
this ka is a total mistake! it looks like a slightly flattened and stretch toyota yaris or a citroen C2 with a ford badge - however you look at it, its not worth the money! those rear lights are disgustingly round and those fronts look like someone has pulled them up the bonnet - the ka and ka sport have unique lights - both front and back - this is the worst looking vehicle next to be slated by top gear!!!!
