Most of us can admit to checking out our reflection in passing shop windows whilst in the car but for those drivers that can’t bear to see themselves behind the wheel GM has come up with a solution to avoid the problem. To help car buyers make the right purchasing decision, GM is trialing a new drive-in fitting room in a South London forecourt just outside one of its Chevrolet dealerships.

Studies have shown that three out of every four drivers use their car as a status symbol, but 95% of respondents admit they have no idea what they actually look like behind the wheel. The new curtained-off room allows buyers to ‘try on’ the car by driving it onto a center stage placed in front of three giant mirrors. A remote-control handset allows drivers to rotate the stage to get a 360 degree view of what they actually look like in their motor.
